Hi All,
I have a 85 M1009 (TH400 and NP20 with about 35000 miles and no engine. The diesel engine was pulled before I got it. I want to keep the stock TH400/NP208 in the unit.
I bought an 88/89 350 blazer with a 700r4 and NP241(I think) to use as an organ donor. The electrical, cooling, and exhaust conversions are something within my knowledge base, but I know nothing about what I’ll have to do about the transmission/torque converter issues.
Can anyone tell me what I’m getting into. Can I use the converter from the M1009? Will there be some vacuum modulator issues? Can I use the original radiator with the transmission oil cooler? Any comments would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Alex
