Prestolite Protective Control Box, I 'd like to change it out to a
Nartron S3. I have a question. It comes with the TSU and where do I install it. Is it under the black cap with the wires coming out of it near the no step stamp on the air intake

This is the picture of where I think the TSU would go.

You’re welcome.

Besides the “NO ETHER IN HMMWVS” rule, another tip/practice you should adhere to is:

Disconnect battery ground before doing ANY electrical work.

That - very pricey - S3 box hates stray current and seems to self-immolate at the first opportunity, or at least its predecessors did.

Don’t take any chances.

Oh, and have fun.

M1037 REAR SPRING CHANGE? ANY ADVICE OR PARTS LIST?

I did some research and found out that the upper rear spring perch and the springs are different in a M1037. They are 1 turn taller. I am thinking I can just add M998 rear springs and a spacer and maybe new shocks and I will be fine. I'd like to keep it as stock as possible to change back if I ever wanted to.

Has anyone done this? Is there anything I am missing about this idea? I am assuming I only have to drop the bottom swing arm to make this change.

Any help would be awesome....Thank you in advance.

IT LIVES! Thanks for all the help getting it running, changed all 8 glow plugs, installed new KDS and yellow stripe sender. Added ground kit, hooked up batteries, clicked on to wait...lasted longer this time....light off cranked for like half a turn and started right up!

Thank you again for all the help all!
