Welcome Dinhchua! I was a guest in your country several years ago and yes, the movie is great.

We found a M38 jeep being used by the NVA in Cambodia and gave it to our battalion commander to drive. Last I saw it he was having a great time with it. :driver:

Vietnamese rednecks.rofl
you not already meet me, not already meet Vietnamese person, do not say so. I am only seen you is cubbish and ignorant. rednecks.. something like that. if you stand in front of me, I guillotine you immediately.:deadhorse:
I REALLY think you MISS READ WM, what he said was a COMPLEMENT, a REDNECK will do things to have FUN that others think is CRAZY, and if driving a 151 under water is not, I am not sure what is.

I am KINDER/GENTLER this morning or I would comment on your last sentence as I have had personal EXPERIENCE with that thought process.

I will hand it to the original poster, he REALLY likes to test the fording capabilities of the M151 to their limits. I'd be more worried about the driver drownding then the truck. Note the Deset Storm or tan M151, kind of an interesting choice for a M151. I would not have expected the M151's to hold up that well in the tropical climate, as most of our survivors have rust and other issues, but at leat the old truck's still running. I suspect he could point us to some interesting Russian, Chinese and French survivor vehicles if they can keep M151's running 30+ years after the fact, they can keep almost anything running.
In the meantime, permit me to wish you all a Happy Holiday season, wherever you may be...[thumbzup]

Check out the vietnamjeep.net link in his sig. Looks like they have quite a few UAZ 469s and the similar Beijing Jeeps, as well as a smattering of more contemporary hardware.

One of our members on the g838.org site does business over there and hooks up with these guys every time he goes over. They definitely like to party. They have quite a few 151's and they keep them in good shape.
