The "tub" method, has worked great for me. The methanol and sodium hydroxide is mixed in a glass jar with a wooden spoon.

Be careful with commercial "reactors" made of plastic, a static electricity discharge can easily ignite the methanol.

I heard biodiesel made from fast food oil smells like frenchfries and makes all the other drivers on the road want to stop off at McDonalnds. Is this clever marketing urban legend by them or true?

Totally true. No complaints of diesel smell, even when you cut it by 30% with regular diesel. I think my 300sd benz actually runs better on centrifuged WVO blend than real diesel. Quieter, smoother idle and less smoke too.

thanks for the info but im looking to see if there are any home made ones around i have barrels and i can get pumps i just want to see how other people set there systems up

Look for the dropped and dented electric water heaters!! Save big money. I have bought several dented ones from Lowe's and Sears.....saved a lot of money. They are just going to get some retrofitting and get scurved out .
