Theurer M872A1 Years Manufactured

Any idea on the year these were manufactured? The town we bought it from titled it as a 2009 because of the repair tag, but I'm sure that's not right.

Just a fyi to check frame for rust issues.

Problems were found and the majority were recalled and scrapped .

Since it came from surplus, might have been before the recall was issued.

I dont remember if it was just the first model or if it included a1's

Calling Theurer or Great Dane should be able to to that vin. I'm going to bet it's an 01

Thanks for the confirmation about the rust, I did see discussion about that so I'm glad to know it didn't extend to the A1. We'll try GD to see if they can help.

Great Dane only knew about Pine being bought by them, and didn't know anything about Theurer

Edit: Another dealer got back to me, and believes that it's likely a 1996, believing that they only stamped the last 8 of the VIN on the trailer tag.

Look at the contract number. The 81 ist the contract year , so the trailer was probably made sometime after 1981.
