ticking noise in left front wheel

Hi guys

Just solved a problem and already have another one :D

The problem is that my left front wheel makes a ticking noise, its not comming
from the wheelbearings. I guess its from the inner axleshaft bushings or the
inner axleshaft crossbearingjoint itself.

Anyone has experience with this. Iam planning to drive around a couple
of weeks before I start the repair. But I like to know what I can expect and which
parts I need. So I can order them before I start the repair.

Thanks in advance,

Corné

Have you pulled the hub plate off to make sure it is not a bearing/brake issue? With the axle shaft not turning the bearings and brakes are all that can make noise.

If they check out ok, then it could be all kinds of things inside the knuckle area. Is the knuckle boot solid and not letting trash in?

Yes got the hub plate off, then the ticking sound was gone away.

But with the plate attached, there is no difference in sound when I turned
the wheel in other directions. The knuckle boots are 1 year old and the knuckles where greased at that time.
