Hmmm, you know that slide hammer looks like a pretty simple deal. I bet anyone with marginal welding skills could whip one up out of some scrap pretty easily and save some cash.

That looks just like the one I got off ebay a few years ago that did not work. Had a hyd shop fix haven't tryed it yet thought. I been useing the hammer.
