A while back I saw some military trailers that were very similar to civilian equipment trailers like the red one below. I don't remember the M number designation for those, does anyone know?

How about for the USMC trailer below? May be a Marine specific unit (photo courtesy of Halftrack)

Thanks, and cheers

Rory,

Many, many trailers were made for very specified uses. Many of them did not get designated M numbers. Other times, the military would use civilian trailers but not give it an M number.

Very true Mike, particularly with the Marines who buy what they need. I believe the green trailer in the pic is a Holden MT020 (wish I had one!), I wondered what the Marines call it.

On Ft Hood I saw some equipment trailers that did have an M number though (which surprised me), but for the life of me I can't remember what it was or where I wrote it down. Guess I need to go poking around up there again. :)

Cheers

I've got a civilian trailer that was used by the Alaskan Canadain Hwy Division, 341 st Engineers. No M number, no data plate, red paint under the OD.
