I have seen on here about using 50wt oil in the trans. I can get some 50wt ashless aircraft oil and was wondering if that would be ok to use.

I use 30W Non detergent motor oil. No problems after 3k miles.

I switched from GL5 to 40WT and had a harder time shifting to I switched it back to GL5. I hear a lot of people get smoother shifting with the change to motor oil. To each their own.
