are there any bearings in the deuce transmission?
And the other Question trans gears 2 And 3 don't work but 1,4,5,R work
are the gears totaly stripped?
And is it hard to change out gears?

Could be a broken shift fork, and yes, there are bearings.
Get the proper TM (service manual) and then open up the trans and repair the damage, or replace it. With the proper information and tools a competent(mechanically inclined) person can do any repair needed on any Ex-Military truck. They are all old technology, built for simplicity, durability and ease of repair in the field by the person with the lowest rank :shock:

Take the top off and have a look...get your replacement tranny and have it ready to put in and you will have a nice weekend of work...after you have read all your manuals and decided if you want to do it...Soldier #2

The grear for 2 & 3rd has 2 keys that lock it to the shaft. I had one hat both keys were sheared off and let the grear spin on the shaft. It ruined the shaft and grear. You may have to rebuild/replace some parts.
