Yes likely, but it can run like that for a looong time - as long as there is no oil entering the coolant. You ought to have bought yourself sufficient time to collect the info, tools and supplies to eventually do the head gasket(s). How loose/inconsistent were the head nuts?

To be honest, they were all fairly snug and 140 ft/lbs plus. I'll just start gathering parts and throw a bottle of sealant in it.

Update, did a retorque and fired it back up. Small air bubbles forming while running even at low rpm at front passenger corner of the head. Looks like gaskets in my future....

Sorry to hear that. While you've got everything apart it's much easier and a great time to do some not-so-expensive things like a flame-heater delete, modern starter, getting yourself a $100 pop-tester and tuning the injectors (link to the needed adapter here; https://steelsoldiers.com/threads/injector-pop-tester-adapter-for-deuce.173782/#post-2078647 )

Flame heater has already been deleted. The pop tester looks interesting. Will do some more reading on that. Maybe one of these days my engine compartment will look like yours nemesis

Years ago I did this because of the weeps . I replaced all the core pugs while it was down , hoses , clamps , starter relay . Not one issue with new style gaskets . Positively check the heads to be sure they are flat . Somewhere , I think I still have the tool to torque the bolts . I lend it you if needed and I can locate it .
