I was a big USAA fan but if I can get the same service from State Farm (like my brother is getting) then why am I going to pay 600 a year versus 300 a year.

IF USAA is reading this, they need to get with the program and provide competitive pricing. Once the deuce goes, the cars, the house, and everything else could be following close behind.

Call Robyn, she helped me get a quote from USAA and Progressive partnership:

State Farm told me they will insure it as a "Pleasure Vehicle" for half of what USAA quoted me. Best of luck!

it depends on who you get. My deuce was initially insured with whatever company I had everything else on. i called and got a quote before i bought it made sure everything was ok then got the deuce then two weeks later they canceled it. So I dropped everything house, cars.....everything. I went to state farm they insured me. then jumped my rates up to like 800 bucks every six months after about a month saying i was at fault in an accident and hadn't told them about it. which was partially true. I was in an accident that i hadn't told them about but I wasn't at fault I wasn't even in my own vehicle. I have now gone to allstate and I'm paying like 173 every 6 months and they know the real gross vehicle weight and the whole three axle thing. My buddy tory got his insured in arkansas by just not telling them what it was he told them it was a 68 jeep pickup or whatever and they just slapped out a cheap policy no problem.

I've had nothing but good experiences with USAA. The rates may be a little higher, but they always pay out a really fair amount for each claim. They also have never tried to weasel out of paying the claim like many companies do. USAA is the only "not for profit" insurance company, i.e. it is owned by each member and actually pays me a sizeable dividen check each year.:-D

When someone without insurance that was driving their friend's car hit me, and then later claimed it was my fault, USAA even took them to court. They paid my claim before even winning the case, and stated that they would pay it either way.

I tried USAA, State Farm, and a few others. Everyone freaked when I told them what it was. I called GEICO, they knew exactly what it was and I was done in 10 minutes. I was 25 when I got it (w a lot of speeding tickets ) Its about $40 per month for total coverage, including roadside assistance lol. I dont ever want to be stuck but if I ever am, Im gonna laugh when they show up to tow her and realize theyre gonna need a much bigger rig!

For all you guys that are (pardon the term) committing fraud and not letting the Ins co know that your truck is a 10,000lb tri axle you know they will not pay for a claim when your 'jeep' is in a wreck, right?

If your ins binder does not have the proper weight, year, axles etc do you really think they are going to pay up when they were charging you for a light truck and not a 6x6?

I mean no disrespect, but come on guys, you're lying (not telling the truth about the insured vehicle) is NOT the insurance co problem. It will be YOURS when you have to file a claim and the truth is revealed.

Evidently there are good and bad ins agents. Keep calling till you get a good one and get the proper vehicle info on that card. It cannot help the hobby when people are lying to get ins.

Good. They gave me the best quote as well. Did they insure it as a "pleasure vehicle"? Just curious.

My comment was not directed at the guys getting the proper coverage.

This web site will not allow colluding, but insurance fraud is ok?

In the short and long run all we do is hurt ourselves by insuring or TITLING an MV as anything than what it is.
