Went to a sale near St Louis looking at MV parts and opened a conex and there was a 6' cluster bomb casing. I made an offer they took it and asked if I want some fins to go with it included in the price. Not real heavy but bulky and hard to lift. It looks like a lot of it's life was spent out side and had a couple of small breaks which I have repaired but has a million little scraps and cracks in gel coat so using spot putty to get a good finished surface.

I have a WWII Navy bomb trailer that it should look good on. Any old MMS guys no what color it should be or markings, there are none on it.

Well it turns out to be a Vietnam era 750lb bomb, leaflet M129E2 it took 1/2 a tube of spot putty, various grades of sandpaper, sanding sponge( they are great) 2 cans sand-able primes and 3 cans Krylon Fusion Camo paint, ultra flat light green. I don't have the proper M148 fins but these were scratch made and seem to be ok. Now I have a reason to restore the MK4 bomb cart!
