Using M151A2 fuel pickup tube on 151A1 fuel tank

Is there any problem using the pickup tube assembly from A2 on A1?

It will work just fine, that's what most people use when swapping to manual fuel pump, the gaskets for the hat assembly are becoming pricey, if you need one, cheaper to buy gasket material from local auto parts. You can also hook up a manual pump using the old electric pump assembly, it will pick up fuel through the old electric fuel pump.
