Vehicle to Trailer Harness M1009

I was wondering if anyone had an extra, perhaps broken, harness they didn't need. I need the vehicle side plug plus 6" to 12" of wire coming from it. I want to mod it to fit a regular trailer so I can haul it using the military connection on my M1009.

If anyone has one lying around, on the cheap, please PM me.

Thanks !

It would be easier, and probably cheaper, to add a civilian connector on your M1009.

Let's see a photo of your Navy grey 1986 M1009.

I have actively been trying to locate a 1009 vehicle side trailer plug receptacle for a while. It doesn't seem like a part that people part out. Pintle hitches, no prob. Plug covers, no prob. Plug with pigtails, problem. If anyone happens to have an extra, PLEASE, let me know!

Considering the lack of supply, I'd use a commercial wiring set up if that's your end goal.

Stop beating your head against a rock, order these from Erik's and be done with it.

You will have to solder the leads in (four) but you won't be dealing with someone elses junk.

I've got plug covers and I do have a receptacle, but one with the wrong wires. I've been trying to avoid splicing. I normally have no problem locating what I need. I think my Dad's 1009 might be missing a trailer plug real soon!

Or, I might have to check out Eriks. Thanks.
