The ether can's got ether in it right, and pressure?
Was that a cold start, or was it already warmed up? Seemed to be running very clean. (Didn't listen to the audio as my wife is watching tv next to me...) And what was the temp out on that startup?
Nehog, I gotta say that I would also look at improving the color of the text, it is hard to read indeed due to low contrast. Simply making the text lighter would do the trick. But I am very happy with the content of this forum.
Re: ether. The generator came with NO fluids, and NO ether bottle.
I bought an ether bottle at CarQuest, but it turned out to be too fat to fit. I had to loosen some bracket screws so that it would fit enough to screw in. Maybe something is wrong with how this bottle fits the release system, maybe it is incompatible with the ether delivery system. The mating threads, thuogh, fit just fine, but the bottle is clearly too thick.
The PVC line for ether was brittle and broke, and I replaced it with expensive Tygon line from McMaster Carr. Despite all this, repeatedly engaging the start assist switch when starting, visibly gets nothing into the line, and nothing in the intake manifold.
Re: starting. It needs a shot of ether (from a can) to start from cold in freezing weather. It does not start at 25 degrees from cold. However, if the engine is warm or at least not completely cold (after a couple of hours), it restarts easily.
