Medlog,
I was more then happy to throw some money to the site. I have learned many valuable lessons from the members here. I think that we all appreciate the service since you gain nothing from it and are able to give us information that we would not otherwise have on our vehicles.
Thanks Walter and most of all thanks for the donation. I very, very seldom talk to Chris, or anyone else from the head shed, and never asked if my prodding :D is effective or not. Frankly, don't know anything about the financial situation, just addicted to the site and don't ever want to see it fold.

Thanks again.

PS: If someone ever does want to pay me, I would love to have that fully restored M8 or M20 Armored Car that's just sitting around. Would use that as my daily driver :D

Medlog,
Thank you so much for the information. Do I read the Mfg date correctly as 1952? I thought that they were still building the the M211 series then. [thumbzup]

Registration number is the identification # correct? The only thing that was illegible on the data plate is the first digit, I assumed it was an N. Thanks again!

Only report what I find my friend. If some private screwed up the data input, then you get the good info with some bad sometimes.

I went back through and think I got all the vehicles requested so far. I've been VERY busy since July 2nd between my personal life of moving to getting some big projects done at work while short of help. This coming week maybe a little more quiet. Bottom line is if I missed a request for VIN info from somebody, let me know.

Hey Walter, judging by the numbers, I'd say your truck probably is a 52 and prolly a Reo. I'm jealous!

Medlog, let me jump back on this thread. In your searching the vast knowledge base can you see what VIN 213030 brings back? I'm assuming that this is an old Reo but listed as a 69 AMGE.

Here is mine:

M38A1
Bought froman individual that ended up with it aspart of an estate

Serial Number - 25872
Ordnance Stock Number - G-2758-6800361
Contract NUmber - DA-33-019-ORD-630

Has a tag for it being a USMC radio jeep, but that is covered under so much orange paint from where the navy stole it that I couldn't read it.

Your Jeep was built for the Marines in September or October of 1952.

Hope this helps,
David Doyle
