I searched the TM's and the Forum for this noob question... Where is the vin located?
I have a serial number badge inside the door but it doesn't match the vin on my title or the invoice from Gov Planet.

This is a 1078A1 BTW.

The data plate is it. One location. No other numbers. GL would wait till you had the vehicle in hand and you would verify the info and submit it to them for the paperwork. I just got a truck in the serial listed in the auction is completely different than the trucks actual serial. Its the right truck the pics are exact. Just mistakes made when the GP rep documented the truck.

It’s not that it’s off by a number or two, it’s a completely different number. The number on the title and invoice is the typical LMTV breakdown. Vehicle type-kit ID-unit marker-etc. the badge on the door is 5 digits and a letter.

Badge on the door I believe is the Steyr cab serial number and nothing to do with anything but that. Only the number on plate mentioned above by left knee is used.

THAT'S What I needed! Found it, I had taken it off to get the dash powder-coated.
