Another option is to get a couple of these small digital meters and mount them next to the existing meter, one for the front, one for the back.

I originally bought 2 similar to that one but fully encased, but opted for the round one instead. Round holes are easier to drill

Yeah, for those of us that don't have a CMC machine handy! :laugh:

I haven't done it yet, but I was thinking of just surface mounting a couple of those next to the original meter. I like the idea of seeing what each battery is doing.

Nah. Drill four holes. Those little handheld hacksaws with the blade exposed at the end are great for squaring off corners.
