At one january saturday, with 23ºC this was the day job:

The new mounts for the suspension...

The original ones are long gone...

Allmost one day to clean this one...

Allmost removed the old "no original support"...

 

[HUGO bOSS]

After that, I turn to the front beam...

 

[HUGO bOSS]

A real mess... the original paint over painted by hand and lots of old grease and mud and sand...

No drums allready and waiting for the cleaning...

Rear suspension arm allmost there...

Need to remove the drum also... next time...

Looks like this VW is in good hands. Nice tile on the shop floor, and I thought I had splurged with Garage Armor paint.

Dirty steering box...

Cleaned and degrease...

Up front job...

Need to finish some small spots for the paint...

Waiting for now...

Need to weld the supports on the body and clean the garage...

The work was running allright, so I decided to put the chassis and body together again...






But I think that it´s not correct... Getting old...

Need to see beter next week...

The weekend job started with some organization of space...

And with some cuting of new metal for the lower parts...

Scary...

Front is totaly rust also...

Patches over patches...

The back side need some work also...

All this zone need to be remade...

And also the inside support...

Inside the enginne compartment some rust is coming out...
