This is my deuce with a walker muffler at 1000 RPM. It seems pretty smooth to me.

Nah, didn't hurt a thing. Just more tolerable to drive.... it really cuts out the droning.

did you have to modify the mirror bracket? Does fit directly over the existing pipe?

No, didn't have to modify the mirror, just cut the pipe and welded a tab on the muffler for a bolt to hold it up.

I'll get some good ones in the sunlight tomorrow. I bought a 7" bracket off ebay(fits around muffler perfect) and bolted it to a piece of angle iron, then bolted the angle iron to the original spot on the truck. It's funny to me only being able to find all the parts in chrome or stainless steel and scuffing them up to paint 'em. Everything is just made to look too pretty now. This picture isn't too good for showing the detail.

Not at all. It is a non-restrictive straight through muffler. Kinda like a big cherry bomb or glass pack. Kinda.

I have been wanting to do the same thing, but I am afriad to take what little power that truck has. If there is no power loss than I want to get it done.

Which muffler is quieter - the Dynomax or the Walker? I want to get the quietest one.
I'd run the exhaust out under the truck if it wouldn't kill the looks and fording depth.

I thought about running it under the truck as well. But there is no room. Unless you want it to go all the way out the back then maybe you can make it work. I wanted it to exit in front of the drives. I even thought about stacks, but again where am I going to run all the tubing?
