Getting ready for this year’s events. I’ve been wanting to paint my gun mounts and this year, I’m doing it. I don’t recall which trucks that painted their mounts red but I like the look. Pics:

I sand blasted the areas of rust. Then I used rusty metal primer to cover the bare spots. Then I painted them up with candy apple red over everything.

After re-reading my question, I realized it was written very poorly. What I meant to ask was about the mounts shown in gun truck photos. They look like just the red primer is applied...or is it faded photos?

As far as I can determine, they were all painted gloss red. If you look at Untouchables, I believe they may have had the red mounts. Oops, it was Eve of Destruction that had the red mounts.
