WC-12 dually setup

Just acquired a WC-12 that came with 6 rims (split rims) with mounted 9.00x16 NDT tires (dry rotted so they will need replaces). I have seen a few pictures set up as a dually, which interests me. I have the set of lug extensions. When I dry fit the rear there is a gap of about 1 inch between the rims. Do I need to go to the 7.5x16 tires or is there a spacer to go between the rims?

i believe you need the original 1/2 ton rims for that. none of my wcs had combat rims.

First, congrats on the new ride an how about posting a bigger pic of it. Second, I believe what Robert said above is correct you would need the original rims/tires.

The rims in the pics. are M37 or power wagon, if you want duels you will need to find some correct 1/2 ton rims. and a set of 7.50x16's. They are narrower and have more offset, word of caution never mount the 900's on the 1/2 ton rims, they have very narrow lock rings.

Welcome Dave, well said, however, those do appear to be 1/2 ton split ring wheels.

They do look like 1/2 ton rims but can't be sure without a closer picture. 900's will not fit on them. You need 7.50 16's so they don't rub each other. If you really want to use 900 16's use wheels from a 3/4 ton. They have the proper spacing and they will fit on your truck. They will also give you about 10 mph more than the 7.50's but it takes a little longer to get there.
The 1/2 ton rim has a very narrow split rim. The 3/4 ton split rim is almost twice as wide. You can run the 900 16 tires on the 1/2 ton if you run them as singles only.
