Has anyone experienced this with their HMMWV? I think my HMMWV has done this on two different occasions, but only after maintenance or short periods of idling. I have never seen it with my daily driver diesel truck.

I/we would let them idle for hours and hours keeping that A/c going and for other reasons. Dont remember ever being an issue. Still runs fine right?

Daily driver gets to go for a daily drive. Better way to charge the batteries or being a driveway queen.

HumV might be showing signs of a virus, wants to get out and go for a hot drive down the road.

OH. same here. once and a while. Condensation in muffler most likely. Should dissipate when warmed up. If you just cold started it and goosed the peddle, likely to "sneeze" the black plague. Got it drive it, CAMO.

Runs great actually. I had cranked it a few times during a 20 minute period to slightly move it for servicing the lubrication points. Afterwards, I noticed a light "spray" of black soot on the garage floor under the exhaust. In the approximately 5 months of ownership, I've only seen this twice. Seems a random occurance so far.
