What are these wheels from?

I was told they were M135, but I don’t see any pictures that match. I need to find one that matches one, since they have wheel surfaces that are offset different- about 3/4” and 1-3/8”. I Need to find one to make a matching set.

Those are not M135 wheels. Never seen that wheel on a military vehicle.

Certainly not stock M135 (or M34) wheels.... See specs below.

I can't see any rivet heads on the rim. So if the center is welded to the rim it could well be a modified M34 wheel (?)

They are welded. The welds are very consistent and clean. I don't see any holes from old rivets. So they're original or someone knew what they were doing. But the different in the offset has me scratching my head. The guy I got these from has two more wheels that roughly match but they are too rusted to use. The wheels have 1950's dates stamped in them and one is stamped "Firestone".

Still, I believe these must be custom made - long years after 1950. And that whoever did it, took the time to weld-shut & grind all the holes. Because in those years all of the wheels were riveted construction, even for the M35.

The good thing is that for these, the center goes where the rim shell is perfectly cylindrical, so it is easy to reduce the backspace, up to a couple inches actually.

If the shell is bad but the center plate is still OK, you could always use a shell from an M35 wheel, since their dimensions are the same for all.
