One recommendation - stay far clear of the Chinesium carp.

There is someone selling the complete kit over in the Classifieds. I was thinking of getting that to replace the Chinesium crap I have but every time I save up enough dough, something goes on the fritz and the $ goes poof!

I installed a high mount R4 compressor to my LS swap 1123. I haven't plumbed the A/C system yet, but I am planning on using the components from a ~1995 Suburban 1500 or Blazer for the front (R134). For the rear heat and A/C I grabbed one of these 'universal' units to loop into the heat and A/C, but I haven't tested it yet. Given the price, I am not sure what to expect - Amazon.com: 12V AC Air Conditioner Evaporator Heater Cooler Assembly Unit & Heater Kit for Car Truck, Universal Under Dash Evaporator Heater Cooler - 3 Speed, Max Air Volume 600 CFM : Automotive
