What did you do to your deuce this week?

I replaced my parking brake shoes on the Deuce today. Printed the task out on paper, took them out to the shop and went to work. Sure is nice to have a parking brake that holds well.

Installed the Jatonka spin-on oil filter to my Deuce, now get oil pressure in 2-3 seconds.......MUCH better, than 13-15 seconds!

Congrats!

I highly recommend bypassing the FDC, pulling all the drums and checking the brakes, bleeding the brakes, etc. I have a couple youtube videos on the FDC bypass, it's quite easy. Enjoy!

I drove mine home... 103 miles, with wife following me. With a big ol' smile (and ear muffs).
I think I actually hit 51mph...!!!

Last night did a "major adjustment" on brakes. broke apart a FMTV wheel with my spare 395 then tried to break loose the 9-20 off my spare wheel. Well that didnt go well as my split ring tools (duck bill and bars) are in AL at the moment. Cant seem to find anyone here to bust it loose so it looks like its time to break out the sawzall.

We ALMOST finished the bobber! We got the new glass in the windshield and doors, got almost everything reinstalled (all of the lights, mud flaps, top, mirrors, exhaust) and reinstalled the bed. Yesterday, we disassembled the old tires/rims and installed the new G177s (all except 1 and the spare that we couldn't break the beads on - had to take them to a tire shop to break and will change them today).

Today we are planning on finishing up the last 2 tires, rerouting the wiring harness in the rear and hooking up the rear lights, shortening the rear brake line and installing a new flex line and bleeding the brakes.

Next week, I am going to pull the wheels and replace all of the front and rear axle seals, rebuild the wheel cylinders and change the gear oil. I am also planning on doing the front boots, repacking the bearings, changing the flex lines and bleeding the brakes. I also have the TMamerica alternator upgrade kits (24 and 12v) that I will be installing.

Installed a new driver side door latch so I can get in without climbing over from the passanger side. I also lubed up the window crank stuff. You can roll up the window with 1 hand now.

Looks good!...for a Bobber.
I like the shortened bed versus the M105 bed that almost every Bobber has.
Actually, I'm not a big bobber fan either, but my Brother talked me into it (he is half owner). We liked the original bed better also, even though it is a lot more work! The m105 bed versions would look much better if the wheelwells were larger and mimicked the deuce's front fenders.

Looks like some fine craftsmanship there!
My Brother owns a body shop and he's kindof anal about details, so it turned out much nicer than originally planned. It was blasted top to bottom and most of the dents taken out also. Now he is hating the fact that the front tires are inset too much. He wants to either put super singles on, put the tires back on 5 ton rims and put an adapter plate on the rims, or reverse the dish on the stock rims. Like I said, he's all about the details! I have to admit that the wheels do ruin the look we are going after though.

BTW: I got the wiring harness finished up and rear lights connected today. Also got the new fuel sending unit installed - now actually reading 5/8ths of a tank, even though I don't trust it. They got one of the other tires mounted (the front one), but the tire shop couldn't get the bead broken loose (with the machine!) on the last one. My Brother got the mud flap brackets welded to the bed and the braces bolted up. If I can get the brake lines shortened and new rear flex line installed tomorrow we can go for a drive! Question: (I haven't searched, just thought I would throw it in here) How is the trailer plug notch oriented? I know the cover opens up to 12 o'clock.

Nothing extraordinary. Tightened up the parking brake so it actually holds now, and adjusted/tightened all of the side mirrors so I can actually see out of them somewhat. Checked the fluids, and started tracking down why my blower motor for the heater doesn't work. Thouroughly enjoyed the time spent on it today. No pressure, and haven't been that relaxed in a long time.

Very nice work Matt. I’m not a big fan of bobbers but that truck you did looks very nice with the new tires and using a shortened bed instead of the 105.
