well, being from the great state of dirty jerz, I know the consequences of salt getting on your undercarriage. I just never heard of spraying it with ATF / diesel to inhibit the corrosion.

But like said before, now that I'm here in florida, the only salt I have to worry about is in the air coming off the ocean / gulf...

Salt.

Liberally spraying the undercarriage and underside sheet metal with 50% ATF/50% Diesel "helps" keep the salt they put on the roads from totally destroying what it comes in contact with.
mine has the automatic undercarriage oiling system.
Opcom, took me a minute, but I got it!

no foul, a small leak of 1 quart per 1000 miles will coat the undercarriage with a thin film and all but stop the rust. I'd fix the leak but it is at the front of the head gasket and I don't want to take that apart.

In reply to the thread:
1. I want to add air conditioning to the cab. Really. I never drive the truck in the summer because of the heat. I'd like to find a kit with at least 24000BTU, preferrably 36000. Most seem to be about 13K to 15K BTU.

2. Eventually, tall single tires and ODIron tubeless rims. But the AC has to come first.
