My m818 pulls m105a2's once or twice a week, the m129a2c when we go camping with a m105a2 in tow behind it, an m172a1 for the museum once or twice a year, and starting the first of the year an m127a2c for log hauling and parades. All on 16r20s, the m127a2c and m129a2c have 14r20s on them m105s all have 11-20s on them.

Every couple of weeks, I haul hay home to the horses on one of the M871 trailers, and pulled the M105a2 camper to the LA rally. Also have a M119 box trailer I've used to haul square bales of hay and a M295 expandable trailer I use to store parts and supplies.

Pulled an M 60 to a trailer, and then off a trailer for some TV shots when we said we would move an M 60 5 miles for free for the NJ Patersons Marine and Army Vets league to a new park built for them, My 1 five ton moved her fine on flat ground, but we also used my 2nd 5 ton all 3 tow barred together off the trailer just incase she wanted to push us down the road, would not have looked professional :) Because we were on TV for that. I hope thats not the only time I get to use my BIG tow bar :).....I tried to down load other pics they did not come thru, these get the point across.... I did not notice it was for tractors, hope you dont mind my post, i noticed just now :(

Yes, I would like to meet you and some more of the local Steel Soldiers. There seems to be a great bunch around here. I've met some, particularly at the Washington Arms Collectors show in October, Auburn Veteran's Day, and at Arlington this year. Keep in touch, and Merry Christmas!

To be Towed 5 Ton did the towing

I went to pickup a fire department turn in 932 and ended up using it to tow my 818 home! Very nice ride and all the way home on the fired departments diesel!

Not really that bad the pipe was down below the cab edge and I had plugs so a nice eighty mile ride at 70 degrees in the middle of December!

An M931A2 will pull a 16,000 lb load fine. Its when you get up in the 25,000 lb + load they start doggin down. Today i had a 12,000 lb trailer and a 38,000 lb machine on my M932A2. Its a slow start but eventually your riding with traffic.. but throw a hill in the mix and shes wheezin.

Sorry to bring this back from the dead, but what speeds can you average with your 931a2 with and without a load.

I have been bouncing between a 931a2 or a duece or 5 ton. I drove a HET(T) in the Army and I have considered a 920 but even with the increased payload the 920 would give me my kingpin size would be incompatible if I wanted to haul a regular 5th wheel trailer.
