Extra Very Nice! Your 813 is decorated up nicely. Amazing that a little green on green with some bright read bows will do for a big piece of iron.

I now have a small plastic storage tub dedicated to M813 Xmas decorations. I just bust it out each year and zip-tie everything on. Takes 10 minutes.

After the parade, I zipped down the road for some fuel. I was doing 50mph when the thought occurred to me that I might be flinging giant, plastic globes at the cars behind me so I slowed down. Fortunately none of the stuff came detached.

Good Deal! It is amazing how a tote with a purpose can be put to good use. I have several at my place for different projects that I manage to get involved with. Happy to hear that nobody behind you got bombed out with decorations...

This same time last year I cracked my passenger side glass pane and I just got that one replaced finally. I had the glass shop put a "seamed edge" on the glass which means they smoothed all sharp edges & corners which i think helped a lot in preventing new cracks from forming. With the glass flat on the table, I used a short piece of 2x4 wood which sat flat on the glass and grabbed the frame edge and then smacked the wood with the dead blow while holding the glass in place with the other hand. This made quick work of the upper frame piece smacking one side & then the other. The lower frame required harder hammer blows and more of them but it eventually came off without breaking the old glass further.

Glad that's done and just in time for rain & snow.

Looks like it came out well. I am a little OCD about aligning my wipers to get a better look. Actually wipes the windshield for a better view in the rain. Easy to adjust and I think has a better look and not getting in the way when in the park (off) position.

Those look good - I like how tucked up they are. It looks like the blade is not inline with the arm...did you bend the tip of the arm?

The screw where the blade attaches to the arm can be loosened and the round washer looking thing is a grooved 2 piece. You can index the wiper blade to whatever position you need to set the proper angle. Pretty easy, just look close and you’ll see what I am talking about.

Just replaced the oem alt with a new one that 74M35A2 was nice enough to send me, with mounting bracket and brace, after waiting around 2 months for someone else that could not deliver. It is nice to have it running again. Just need to work on buzzer and overpressure air problems now. It doesn't like to blow off like it should.

Took the M813 out for an hour long maintenance jog.

My voltage regulator is occasionally wonky. This time, it was pushing the red zone while warming up but never quite exceeded the green zone. After about 10 minutes, it settled down in that narrow "optimum" band in the green zone. It's something that I'm always checking for.

The temperature was just above freezing and after a few days of mid 20's in the mornings. I used the cold start mechanism and the truck fired up on the 3rd revolution. At 2700 lbs, it really does take a bit of driving to overcome the thermal inertia in the engine block. Once warmed up a bit, the truck really goes.

With practically every vehicle having an automatic transmission these days, gear jamming that 5-speed is enjoyable and cathartic. The day was sunny and the roads were empty so I took it on some winding secondary roads the same as a doctor would drive his Porsche on. ;)
