I just can't think of anything to say other than WOW! and then WHY!?

The first excavator got stuck.
Okay, but how did it get buried that deep in the muck.
Then the second excavator is in just as deep.

There is nothing like a friend who is willing to help. That is for sure and certain. But maybe using the second excavator to extract the first might have been better than getting both of them stuck. I have to agree with you though... The Moose were definitely enjoying watching all the commotion.

I’m taking the opportunity to do some preventative repairs. Putting in all new HD torque rod ends because two appear to be failing. I’m putting on a new metal cab and going to send the current one to a body shop to fix the minor dings then probably sell it. Replacing the windshields that cracked but putting all new rubber seals everywhere.

I’ve already got the motor purring nicely. The parking brake seems to not want to release the brakes when it’s cold. After the brakes warm up they release just fine. If I hit the emergency release, the brakes release right away so I think it’s the parking brake control. I thought it might be the pads freezing up but will have to do some digging there.
I want everything stock so I’m having some parts rebuilt like new. It’s not a Ferrari but I like it when it looks like it’s off the showroom floor. Maybe that’s just me.

The rigs are right beauteous.

And that is pretty country that you're in, US6x4.

Never been out to Washington State, and it never occurred to me that any part of it was that flat like that. Mighty pretty!

Washington state has almost all the different landscape types; forested coastal region, wet mountain ranges, dry desert, rocky scabland, dry forested mountains, rolling hill wheat lands...

So the west side is green and then the Cascade mountain range makes a huge rain shadow region in the east side until the rain touches down again closer to the Idaho border and pine trees exist again.

The farm is in the middle of the state in the Columbia Basin which is mostly flat farmland or sage brush. Line of sight can be 10+ miles

No particular reason or rhyme, guess just bored. Took the Haldex air dryer out and replacing it with a AD-9 when it's 10 degrees outside snowing in the snow. Only problem I see on the switch over is needing a quarter inch to three-eighth fitting on the control port, needing a AD-9 plug other than broken fitting on the delivery port had to switch the heater out from 12V to 24V.
While down there I found a check valve, it looks screwed 9 ways from Sunday only thing it's checking is checking out. Not needed part either as the AD-9 has one already on the delivery port.
Until I get back to town to get more parts this will have to wait to be finished.

Military has several check values.

One on drivers frame rail where it goes copper to plastic.

On the dryer and one on the entrance to the wet tank sometimes.

Then 1 on each tank behind the passengers step box

Since the truck is still fairly new to me, I have been doing things to make it suit me better. Biggest one is a complete coolant flush. Added a coolant filter and block heater while the coolant was out, plus a stick on oil pan heater. Also put in a battery maintainer and cut off switch since the truck will have periods of sitting. Added easily removable waterproof seat covers so I have dry seats when I do drive it. Plus put together a sort of center console. In the bed, I painted a Knaack job box I have had for many years and bolted it to the bed for more weather proof storage. Oh yeah, plus a grill cover.

I got several more things planned and on the way. The block heater was a great addition. Started before I could get my hand off the switch in 20 degree weather yesterday morning after being in the teens over night. Heater was plugged in for 2.5 hours.

How is it there is a Cummins BC engine in a M923A2, the A2's got a 6CT 8.3 Cummins. Nice rig overall though.

What makes it a BC? Not super familiar with Cummins, this is my first. BC stands for big cam?

Yep, reason I can tell is the NHC 250/855 paint scheme is black, a BC is tan and the 6CT 8.3 Cummins is black too and you have a turbo which the NHC 250 doesn't, lastly of where your block heater is at.
