Are u fabing your swing out tires carrier yourself... I am wanting to do one myself just not a welder... got pics??Did the doghead strarter fix, K&N air filter changed the engine oil (delo 400 15-40) engine is realy quiet now started on a swing out tire carrier changed out the winston/cooper tires(tire guy said they stopped making them in 2000. that explaines the side tire blow out at 60mph) going to repack the front bearings, and start on the sm-465/205 into the 1009.
The tire carrier is from my old 72 blazer. had a guy refab the lower mount .i will post some pics soon. need to get some other things for it to fit rightAre u fabing your swing out tires carrier yourself... I am wanting to do one myself just not a welder... got pics??
Why did't you have them do your tailgate when they sprayed the floor..?Bed liner... DONE!! Added "redneck" cold air intake ( Aircraft SCAT hose ). She runs a lot more quiet and seems to have more giddy-up with the hose installed.
Those belts are fun! My Grand Marquis takes about 6 minutes to change the belt. A few hours on the CUCV.New fan belts this afternoon.....blew the GEN2 belt on a fire run today!
send some pics my way when you have it all bolted up would love to see it all finishedthe top mount is stock. the bottom is the one i had fabbed. also on the lower mount there is a curved piece of steel inside for the outside to bolt into for strength.(note) the top mount was a MFer to get bolted on! The lower mount was about $70 to have made
