Ours kind of look the same in the hilly section, but more layed out where the state gets flat.

That's IT; you're on the ball, gottaluvit; it's the mountains and hills (and water of course) that make the lay-out looney.

Now where the H*** were we before we drifted all the WAY over here. Time to get back!

The thread had something to do with the letter "C", but now it wasn't "Counties"......

001.jpgI had another customer stop by that saw this repair that I posted a week or so ago. I went to the hardware store and repaired his hitch for him. He uses it to tow hay wagons and it would not stay open and he needed both hands to hook up the wagon tongue. The spring was $1.75 very inexpensive fix. I just wanted to show you the spring in comparison to the old one.

Since I drive my M1009 now almost daylie (way to construction site/quarry is just perfect for my CUCV, no Highway and about 25 miles one way + "fun" roads in the quarry) I noticed a coolant Leak, about 4-5 drops a day (visible on garage floor) so I crawled under it and found out I have a bad freeze plug, new set for the whole engine is on the way, also new radiator cap (old one has rust), new radiator hoses + new thermostat and some random gaskets (just to have things ready if needed)

Oh and I bought a needle scaler set for my compressor hrhrhr:grd: ... I really should think about buying a heater for my garage... Winter is CUCV work time for me :p

I got a brother-in-law living here in the D.C area who heats his house with a simple cast iron wood-stove.

His house is so warm in the Winters that he throws his windows open all the time.

If you got a source for wood, Assel, you might want to think about getting one of those. :smile:

I was pleasantly surprised to find out I could still buy and you can also new GM weather strips for the window channel runs on the front doors and the door to body door seals. These are not Chinese knockoffs. I am getting a few sets from the local GM dealer. I have been getting them for a 1991 V10 full size K5 Blazer Model. If that matters any I don't know. But they fit perfect and have the quality that I was used to getting in the past. Have any of you tried putting the LMC rear roof cab seals on the main body hull? Not even close to fitting. They bunch up at the turns and make a mess with weather strip adhesive. Oh well just thought I would mention the availability. Maybe if a few of us go out and buy some of these GM parts GM may make more. Or maybe we will just make them more money and they can clean out a warehouse somewhere. Either way new GM door seals and other seals for that application are the best you can get for your CUCV. Have a good a day.
