Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
If that was me I'd wash it asap
The rig looks great, and that's a great counterweight set-up in the bed:Still need to get all the exterior lights working and change some tires around before it's ready for the road, but it's nice for the yard for now.

Looks great, what is all that white stuff on ground?Looks familiar, but have not seen any in a while! We've done a little work on the m1028 plow truck lately. Replaced the main wiring harness, seat, dash cluster, shift indicator, steering column, heater controls, blower motor, and all the hoses for the plow. Also bolted the rear bumper on with more than 2 bolts and added some bed anchors for the counterweight in the bed. Still need to get all the exterior lights working and change some tires around before it's ready for the road, but it's nice for the yard for now.

Later on I sat in my CUCV while broswing steel soldiers, saw your post and though "I really hate tapatalk. As if it wasn't annoying enough when you were browsing on mobile, now it ruins the experience for desktop users when someone on mobile posts pics..."Tapatalk issue - I've seen this in other threads over the last two weeks also...
Thanks. The plow setup is a Fisher Speedcast from the mid to late 80s, I welded a few spots up and put some paint on it to slow down the rust. I'm only going to use it for the yard and another driveway or two so I'm trying to keep the cost low. The nice thing is I've already got a ton of CUCV parts so I haven't bought anything for it other than the plow which came off an f250 and some new hydraulic hoses. The rig looks great, and that's a great counterweight set-up in the bed:
- The plow looks brand spanking new
Is that a new plow?
Looking good... you did murder your stock cast spring plates though. Ruffstuff makes a nice set out of 1/2" steel plate that are reasonably priced. Just have to drill a hole for the offset spring pack bolt.Did king pin springs and bushings old ones didn't look bad so I doubt that was my problem. Got my new steering arm on and moved the cap to the drivers side.Had to cut up the u bolt plates quite a bit because of the zero rate. Also had to drill out the pass side spring pad for the center pin.got the wrong u bolt for the pass siderachet strap till I can get a new oneother side with u bolts all torqued and good to godidn't like the shackle angle so I moved the front spring eye forward on hole in the b52s. Thinking im going to have to get a new front driveshaft made but we'll see.
Just crossover for now. Should be plenty as I'm only running 36sLooking good... you did murder your stock cast spring plates though. Ruffstuff makes a nice set out of 1/2" steel plate that are reasonably priced. Just have to drill a hole for the offset spring pack bolt.
You decide if you are going to go high steer or high steer with hydraulic assist?
I found that using a single 1/8" thick washer under each kingpin spring eliminated all death wobble. Bigger tires need more spring pressure. I'm running 37's.Did king pin springs and bushings old ones didn't look bad so I doubt that was my problem.
