Managed to get a lot done this weekend.
- fenders, lights and reflectors removed. Fun little surprise on the tail lights.
- all the HUKs removed for bed removal. side mounted cut off wheel is the right tool for this job.
- side project on the dodge. Brakes.
- side project oil change on the Disco
- helped the kids breakdown the lmtv spare rim and tire. 25 mins. Not to shabby for a bunch of rookies.

Next:
- Plasma out the rear clip. And dispose of bed.
Lower rear clip down one level.
-ecohubs. And full axle/ctis/brake service.

Anyone going to be at Expo East this year?

I've been swamped with projects for weeks so haven't posted in awhile. Lots of stuff going on around here I see.

My only lmtv fix in weeks has been My block heater cord shorted out at the connector, (lots of popping and raised eyebrows), which I've seen on my other Cat equip before. The heater and it's connector are fine so I tried to find a cord only. Luckily I tracked it down with Napa's help.

KATS #28216

this fits the heater listed in the parts spreadsheet (and probably a slew of others). Only $30 instead of the whole heater kit. I bought 2 just in anticipation of the next burnout. IDK why these connectors are so cheap, seems like they can't take the heat.

who can add it to the parts spreadsheet?

No, they're pretty well tucked in.

The longest one is still some 4" recessed within the cab.

Sorry for the crappy pic, it's raining cat and dogs or I'd take a proper one.

I have the 2 trumpets in that spot, and the fire engine sputtering horn on top, on a chain valve. It's actually mounted within the roof rack right to left. Quite loud.

Re-configuring my panel a bit to accommodate an A1 ex brake/warmup switch. Also decided to add a direct 4X4 switch. This switch is a 4x4 sw out of a case-International Harvester tractor(same config as the OEM panel switches). I am going to add a small lamp test pushbutton under the idiot panel.

Center differential lock/4x4 is a standalone function on these trucks, driven by the mode output. so it is relatively easy to activate the 4x4 function directly with a dash switch From P118 in the drivers dash on the A0. The WTEC3 and 4 is just as easy but slightly different signal and command pin locations.

I am working on reprogram capability for my WTEC2 to get a proper 3rd gear range pre-select but for those planning a A0 exhaust brake without re-programming, If you separate 4x4 from secondary mode select, you could use the secondary mode indicator output that currently engages 4x4 to initiate ex brake and at least target 5th range In a downshift…

working on a new idiot panel template to re-task some of the indicator lights to support these new added functions(4x4, EX BRAKE, BRAKE ON and WARMUP).
