What is the electrical unit just above the fuel pump?

The electrical unit just above the fuel pump with 3 white wires on top of it is spraying fuel out of it and making me loose my fuel prime. Im not even sure what this part is to be able to order it from someplace. Can anyone give me some direction.

If it is an 8.3L, it is a fuel pressure sender used for diagnostics only. Remove, discard, and plug it with the appropriate fitting.

From looking at his other 8 threads he has started , he has a M923A2 . But don't expect him to provide any further information , as he hasn't replied to any of the posts in those threads , just starts them and never provides any further information.

Might be the engine? Hard to say without pics or more info.... In reality though its probably the fuel pressure sensor if its an A2. Step one, post some pics to help the next guy who has this issue (and uses the search function!) Step two, remove and cap it.

After a little searching I was able to find one with 3 yellow wires, not white. I would say there is a high amount of voltage running through it, equal to a bolt of lightning I hear. It is more than likely useless on your truck, unless your engine has been turned up and larger tires added, you'll never reach the 88 mph to put this part into play. If, however you can manage to get to that speed "you'll see some serious $)(t".

I noticed on my RR rebuild 931 that there was a sharp knife cut in those wires on the back side. Then I noticed the breather on PS was missing too. I had the feeling that it was a strategically placed cut and was intentional. It appears to be a pressure switch or transducer. I had a spot where the bare wires crossed and the truck would not start. When seperated it ran. I didn't ever research the particulars but it did appear to be a strategically placed cut (sabotage). Darn that was hard to find.
