I work a lot with temperature in my calibration lab. Did you know that 40 degrees below zero is the only temperature where Celsius and Fahrenheit readings are the same?I have fired my deuce up at -40. That is fourty degrees below zero (Ferenheight). !
that is one high revvin deuce!Temp. dropped to 17 last night. With ice and snow on the hood, I had to start the truck this morning. With two regular car batteries in the battery compartment and straight diesel in the tank, I flicked the heater on a few times and got the engine started on my third attempt. I waited about 15 seconds between each attempt. I watched oil pressure come up slowly and then let her idle at just under 10,000 to get her warmed up.
This amounts to one of several things....Temp. dropped to 17 last night.
Oops ! I typed one too many zeroes in that quote about idle speed. Sorry about that typo.Temp. dropped to 17 last night. With ice and snow on the hood, I had to start the truck this morning. With two regular car batteries in the battery compartment and straight diesel in the tank, I flicked the heater on a few times and got the engine started on my third attempt.
