Took my MV out for a test drive on my new tires. Returned to the house to the smell of diesel filling the cab. Opened the hood and found this.

My engine is your typical m35 white engine. Truck is between a 68-72 m109a3.

If I had to guess, it's some kind of check valve inline with the fuel delivery system to help keep the diesel fuel heated in cold weather.

What I do know is Id like it to stop leaking diesel onto my 1000degree turbo.

No kidding, asking for an engine fire right there. I wish I knew more about your system, unfortunately I'm not familiar.

Are the leaks coming from the fittings to the housing it drips from? can't tell where it originates.

It's not leaking from the right side that's threaded into that oil line that goes to the turbo. Looks like the red air lines are good too.

It looks like it's coming from the end on the left but their isn't a good way to get eyes on it with out taking stuff apart.

That is the flame heater fitting. Known to leak. You can remove it or attempt to repair it.

The flame heater is used for cold starts. It injects some diesel in the intake and a BIG spark plug ignites it. That is what the switch on the lower left of the dash is for.

Here are a couple for thread I found by using the Custom Search of "flame heater leaking"
