What's a M149A2 worth?

Going to go and look at a M149A2 this weekend. Photos are not very good, but it looks to be complete. Seller says it's not road worthy because it's been sitting in the woods for some time. Tires are bad and the lights don't work are the two issues he mentioned. To that effect, what is the trailer worth? He's asking $800 OBO. I'm not looking to restore the trailer, I actually need to haul potable water on the road and this trailer would fill the bill. Anything I should be checking when I look at the trailer?

Can the brakes be converted to surge hydraulic brakes?

That's the one with the stainless tank. They bring WAY more than that at auction, I have been trying for one for years. Silly tires are easily obtainable cheap.

Well, they were WRONG on the tank being stainless. It's definitely aluminum. That said, I have no clue what this trailer is! Per the tag it is a ALWT-400G and was built in 1966. Visual differences from the 149's are as follows: Tank lid is in front, the aluminum tank is not baffled, the valve boxes are square and hinge horizontally, the fenders are square and the lights are not blackout capable. The axle is a square tube and does not appear to be a 10,000 lb axle. It has dual air hoses feeding the standard air/hydraulic brakes. The landing gear is a regular three bolt through-tongue RV type trailer jack. I'd have to look closer, but I didn't see any indications of the heavy duty wheeled drop leg jack that's found on the later trailers. The tires are matching bias on-highway rib style, not the military chevrons. The tires are in great shape with no signs of weathering. Other than one bullet hole in the tank collar, the tank looks pristine. Like most, the plumbing is all hacked up. The valve is seized and appeared to be leaking externally because it's been slathered in epoxy. The rest of the piping is gone and has been replaced with pvc. It would be really nice if the main valve could be restored to function, otherwise I can just replace it. Not really looking for a trailer to restore as I need one that can transport potable water and then discharge it to a 1.5" pump. That said, I'm not finding any information on the trailer. Google searches turn up very little information (other than the CL ad which is still up). If this trailer is something uber rare, maybe its better off being restored.

Well it's not a member of the M149 family. It may be a unit ordered for the Navy or AF. I would just use it like you want to.
