I have been looking on the GL website and I see piles and piles of M35A2's that look pretty decent, even a few that look almost new. Most of them say "won't start" which is probably just dead batteries because the engines look like new on alot of them. I see them with 2 days left on the auction and not one single bidde rand it says that the starting bid is $150. There has to be a catch there because there is no way you're gonna pick up a nice Duece for $150! Is it that everybody waits till the last few hours?
Also I plan on buying my first duece when I move to PA next summer (I don't want to get one now because I don't want to have to move a duece from FL to PA!). I'm going to be about an hour (in normal car time, not duece time. HAHA) from Indiantown Gap which I have heard alot of good things about and that they usually have a good selection there and many other places in PA. What do I need to do to register, bid and buy on GL? Also what's a good price to pick up a nice M35A2 from GL? Is it true that people are getting them for as little as $1,500? That would be sweet! My plan would be(if/when I win a bid on one) to drive down with my dad (who spent many years driving dueces and 5 tons in the Army) and change all fluids and check it over along with taking 2 new batteries to throw in it and driving it home. Thanks for any help or info you can give on this.
