John- Parts for commercial truck PTO's to fit the deuce trannies have dried up. New PTO's from Muncy, for example, do not even list the 3052(3)(3a), etc. I did an exhaustive amount of searching for a 6 bolt PTO with the correct gear angle. Most seem to have the gear helix angle going in the other direction. I did eventually find one, an old Chelsea unit, but the helix though visibly alike was slightly different and no matter what shim spacing off the tranny the thing gear sung incredibly loud and I pulled it off fearing it would heat up or cause wear. Best bet is to bite the bullet or hold out for the correct military unit. They're around here and there. I found one for dirt cheap with a bent shift rail- bought it, made up the new rail and was loving life for the minimal investment. OR...run a T-case PTO. I've run these and the gear selectability (from the tranny) is helpful.

The dual output does work independently of each other. The front shaft has the standard 2 fwd speeds and one reverse speed. The rear output has a single direction, single speed shaft. These are used on the dump trucks. To help you identify deuce PTOs the NSNs are 2520-00-706-1136 and 2520-00-706-1137. PNs are 7061136 and 7061137 The ones endind in 1136 have the dual output.

Yeah, and if nobody answered his last old post, The dual out put PTO in his pic is for a deuce transmission. Some day soon, someone ought to start making these again, in the USA. JT
