Why are green or camo cargo covers so hard to find?

Do you know what a full kit costs? I am sure no one here will want to pay for it. You will be paying close to the NSN cost, as Im sure no group buy could get close to the sheer numbers that Uncle Sam has bought in the past.

Not trying to be a downer on this, just a realist.

Please prove me wrong.

You are correct on the full kit cost and shipping. Those crates are big and heavy. I wish I would have know that GMA was going to stop production and single item sales to the public I would have bitten the bullet and bought one or two covers for my deuce and trailer. Oh well, 20/20 hind sight.:(

I would guess a group buy would work on the cab top. The cargo will get expensive and probably won't get that many interested.

From what I've been reading, finding a green or camo cargo cover will be an effort in futility. I'm heading out on Thursday to buy a set of bows and a tan cover for my deuce. Tan will be better than nothing and the price is right.

Where have you looked? The first 2 places i've searched (Clark and TNJ) both have them listed. I would also think Memphis, CSI, or Eastern would have them.

You're right, I see a couple of places do have them. The price was a shocker though. $1200 for cover only, not including bows. More than I can afford right now. I'll settle for the tan cover with all the bows and hardware for $475.

I think Clark had covers for $400.

Let us know how well it works when it comes in. I thought about buying a bunch of sail cloth and making one with the wife's help. (translation: having wife make it while I watch)

I'll post when it arrives. I called and asked some questions and the fellow said they were new in the box and come with all attachments and super rope. I'm heading to Idaho Motor Pool tomorrow to get a set of bows.

Mike A, that looks like a good deal. I'll be interested in finding out how it turns out for you.

I just bought a 3 color vinyl cover down at Aberdeen for like $200. I got it cheap because it had some rust stains from laying in a truck bed and fading, but no tears. I got it home, put it on the truck, and spray painted the entire cover to bring it back to life and it looks great. The guy selling also had a few in rougher shape that were cheaper.
