Well guys made it home ok, 320 miles round trip but it was worth it, had a great time and I would do it again in a heartbeat... For just meeting some people in this hobby it sure is nice to be able to have such a great time.... Poof was a great host, as good as anyone could be.. Hope DR Greg finnaly woke up and came out of his portable coffin trailer... laughed so hard I actually had tears in my eyes sometimes!!! Poof's chicken and all the food was great....Somewhat sad that so few of us were there for a neat event.... Its fun to drive our vehicles in a convoy and get together with fellow collectors and learn more about our hobby.... Even though I never owned a DEUCE, I learned alot about them and now they are starting to interest me... I like jeeps and the M37 and M43, but loved the sound of the big Steel and may have to add to my collection!!! again a great time and thanks again to our host POOF......

Myself and the kids loved it. I think even my wife liked the ride with Greg. That's just one step closer to her giving the big OK to buy one. Great to meet all of you, thank you for the ride and Poof the kids really loved the Mule. In fact Forrie loved all of it so much he fell asleep on the ride home and didn't wake up until 7:30 this morning, over 13 hours. If that isn't reason enough for my wife to say ok I don't know what is.

Thank you all again.

Great group, good trucks, a real nice country convoy, great food (even if the buffet was made of cadaver trays) and a nice bon fire.
Got to meet some new people and see some old people (Dozenjeeps).
I had a really good time, thanks Poof.

I'm glad your camera was working better than mine. I guess I have to get a new camera before a deuce, I only could get a few pictures in before it kept shutting off. It's so old I can't get a battery for it anymore and well the screen is cracked. Maybe if I get her a new camera I can get my deuce??? Well if you look past the kids you will see Poof's Mule and the last one is just to show how wore out the boy was.

Thanks again for having us.

Ahhhh...See what happens when Westy and I are no shows? We'd at least help clean up the left over beer! Seriously, if you put on another SS rally, I'll be there! The worst that can happen is I'll be looking for a new job, and I've done that many times before. I might even bring the 5 ton, smoke, noise and all!:driver:

THE 5 TON! no way!! Thats like me driving my 5 ton... kinda a thing going on this neck of the woods with 5 tons just sitting.. man I need to get mine done. Just too many irons in the fire I guess, that little M151 is taking a lot to fix up. Always something.

We had a great time up at John and Kari's ( I hope that I spelled that right) place . The girlfriend and her son enjoyed it except for camping in the cold weather but they were good troopers and made it through . She said something about bringing the camper with next year. It was great to meet the guys that attended. Real nice convoy , it seemed that we were received pretty well by the public, got quite a few waves:D
Thanks again John and Kari for putting this on :!:

It's hard to believe it's been almost a year. I'm sure we will have details to post soon enough on the plan for this Spring. I know pooh has a date in mind, but it's still to be determined. What seems to work for everyone out there? Let's get some ideas rolling and get the usual group together for the convoy run.

Remember we do not all have fart boxes like Dr. Greg... I froze in the back of his deuce last year..... would like to see it a little later than last year, but will come no matter what.... I am presently soaking up the sun for Jan and Feb in Florida and going to a few Military shows that I attend every winter, hope to find some new goodies to deck out the vehicles.... stay warm and see ya in the spring...
