Picking my 998 up and not sure if this bed being 8'6 wide will be wide enough?

It will definitely be wide enough for a HMMWV. 8ft 6in is as wide as you can typically get without an oversize permit.

Mine had no problem fitting on a standard rollback when I had it hauled to get the injector pump fixed for fuel leak GP never disclosed.
