Winch Questions and Help Finding Parts

I am in the process of switching a winch from one truck to another and have a few questions I'm sure the knowledgeable members here can answer. I have the winch and shaft removed and the grilles swapped. I'm not going to be able to put the winch on the other truck for a while, so I was wondering if anyone knew where to get a cover plate for where the winch PTO mounts to the transmission. Also, do the front leaf springs need to be swapped too? I have three trucks and, if I'm counting correctly, all three have different numbers of leaves in the spring packs. Question #3, does anyone know where to get a gauge panel for a converted gasser that has the big holes for both the tach and speedo or a bracket to mount one of them under the dash? Thanks in advance.

You should be able to find a plate off almost any trans. The plates are a standard size and any trans of any make of similar size will have a cover on it that will work.

I've never counted the leafs. I assumed that the springs were the same on all of them. I've got a truck W/W and Wo/W so I guess I could look at them and see.

Don't know for sure where you'd find a gauge panel. There was a guy building custom panels for multifuel trucks around here (I don't remember who). Maybe he could make you one if you can find the thread. If nothing else, you could swap out the dash. There's alot of stuff to take out but it's not that big of a deal. I've got a multifuel dash if you need one.

The plates are standard on like transfer cases. The front springs are all made to handle the winch load. Guage panel, sorry, you'll have to ask someone smarter than me, or just mine the classifieds. I do know that some members here are very good with CNC machines, but you should not have to go that far. As for labels, there is a stencil guy who either has stock, of will make any label you want. Here is the link. Military Stencils by Rick Larsen

Thanks for the responses. I've found out that when the military converted gas trucks into multifuel they either used a special gauge panel (not as wide) that had two large openings or used a bracket to mount the tach under the dash. They also had to bolt on (versus rivet) the passenger side motor mount. Hopefully, someone is parting out a converted gasser truck or has the gauge panel for one. Thanks again.
