How many miles between oil and filter changes? With T3 I did every 3K,not sure with the T6.Rotella T6 year round. No fuel additives. Both my trucks have started well sitting overnight down to -5F without the block heaters, using the TM starting procedures.
I always let the trucks run a couple of minutes post afterglow when it is < 32F.
Configuration:
24V. Resistor bypass. Newer AC 60G's and GP relay. Fuel delivery system freshened up (professionally rebuilt IP's and injectors). Original lift pumps (soon to have electric and new mechanical one's) Stock fuel filter (but I'll be replacing with an FM100 on each in the very near future as I am starting to experience minor symptoms of air intrusion in the blazer and the old filters are just too problematic to be messing with).
I'm changing at 5K.How many miles between oil and filter changes? With T3 I did every 3K,not sure with the T6.
I just got back from the parts store. I didn't see ANY 5W40. Should I really switch to a winter oil- is there even such a thing? You can use 15w40 or switch to a 5w40 for winter.
Add some anti jell in fuel and let her rip.
OK, I found it with the syntetics. Thanks, now if I can just find the winter aire, the guys at Otto's Home said they were getting it in tomorrow.5W-40 is a full synthetic engine oil.
