Would this look Lame?? Your Opinion Please

So I found this laying around the garage and thought it may fit that hole on the side of the engine. Walked over and it fit.. Like a Gloovveeaa!! So thought I would paint it the same as the truck and see what it looks like. I could mount it with just a bead of silicone, but just not sure if it looks good or not.. Now my truck is bobbed so it is not "stock" by any means, just going by looks here.. Thought I would post for your opinion.. Thanks!

I think it looks fine, but I'm not one who cares to restore my vehicles to original. I "resto-mod" to make things more useful with upgrades.

So long as its not chrome or white or anything else that sticks out like a sore thumb you should be good.

Thanks! I mean it's obviously a stock louver from Home Depot but thought the same thing about critters and such getting in there. I am going to go ahead and mount it. I think I'll angle the vents in it forward to catch some air or perhaps facing backward so it looks more like a vent..

It looks fine, and much better than the gaping hole. If you want it to blend in more, paint it green.

After thinking about it a bit, I can't think of anything that would look better there either.

Looks good to me. I'm a big believer in field expedient methods and mods that won't break the bank. I made an entire snorkel for my air breather out of schedule 40 PVC and I think it looks pretty killer. Not to mention I paid less than $30 for everything.

Vintage iron, I don't have an intake on that side, nothing there just a hole in the side of the truck.. I do have an in-cab heater though..
