Ok so our maintenance shop installed 12v spade type glow plugs in our humvees instead of the round connector 24v glow plugs. They cut off the round connectors too. Will this cause problems? M1025 and 26 models.

It won't cause problems other than burning out faster. Yes there is a resistor but its on the CUCV. Is that what you were thinking about?
I highly doubt 12v 6.2/6.5 glow plugs would survive more than one or two cycles. Especially not during the afterglow process when the alternator is running.

You need to have the plugs replaced with proper ones. Also the connectors. And replace your mechanic while you're at it.

Once you smoke those glow plugs, you can only hope they didn't swell and you can get them out without breaking them and having to go through a few headaches getting the broken tips out of the pre-chamber.

You can either replace the engine harness, splice on new boots or splice on standard crimp on bullet type solder less connectors. The blue female connector is a perfect fit on the tip of the glow plugs.
