Has anyone got a complete early ratchet style hand brake for a M35 / M54, I need everything that bolts inside the cab, new or take off ? I have just the lever if someone has the rest or I'll take a complete set up ?

Thanks

That sounds like a good and fair price to me, Thank you.

Ive just been told this on another forum can anyone confirm either way whats correct ???

" The 5 Ton M-Series never had the ratcheting hand brake lever from the factory, they always had the adjustable type with the knurled cap"

Thanks

I haven't been around long enough to know. Does it matter? Its your truck, do as you please. The cab is the same as trucks that did have them.

I am the one that answered you on the other forum. For the folks here, I looked in the 1955 manual as I thought it would have a ratchet type parking brake lever. The manual shows the lever style with the adjustment cap. Again, this is the manual from 1955 not the newer manuals.

My M-62 is a 53' and it has the one you discribe- The ratchet type almost seems like WWII-CUKW ? Just my .02

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the posts, look like I got it wrong. You learn something everyday on here. Thanks for the offers of parts but as I want to keep my truck original I'll stick with the original handbrake that's already on it.

Thanks
