Awesome totally awesome. I didn't see any air tools being used just hand tools. I am still in awe after watching this.

They assembled these trucks outside! Amazing! I`m sure they didn`t stop of it rained. I never saw this before, I saw them assemble jeeps, but I thought they only put tires and winshields on those.

IIRC, the export French CCKW's were known as "Lot 7's"

Absolutely fantastic piece of MV history. I was a mechaic in the Canadian army for 27 years and we used mostly hand tools in the field, but never on such a grand scale as shown in this film.

nice video ,at the begining of the war they were crated so they could stack more of them on ships,as more ships were produced they stopped crating them.

I loved it! Espcially towards the end when they applied the star with such precission... No tapping it off with masking and getting the perfect stencil. Just hold the stencil up and shoot! There close enough!...

Paint mask...pththththt! If it don't have overspray it's not a GI stencil!

Wow, two things to post on here.
First, if you go to time 0904 on the film you will see what looks to be a rare M1 carbine holster being worn by the officer in the coveralls.
Two, my neighbor was in this unit! He has a 1945 GPW marked up as this unit. He also has a very nice German collection in his house. Great guy to talk to.
